There is a public meeting at the Moon Hotel, Station Road on Monday 9th November at 7pm. Attend to find out more about the plans for a hazardous waste burning incinerator planned for Spondon.

In line with the stated "reduce, reuse, recycle" credo, perhaps the organisers of this meeting would now like to tour Spondon and take down all the posters - in plastic(!) bags - that are littering the area?

You really do seem to be a miserable person.
The posters that were on the floor were ripped down by people other than those people that put them up (pro incinerator people perhaps)?
I for one work in the week so I was unable to remove the ones I had put up until the following weekend. They have now been removed and put in the recycling bin.

"Miserable" - to want to maintain a tidy community?
I didn't refer to (and was not aware) of any posters on the floor, I was merely asking that you follow your own principles and remedy the illegal fly-posting.
The meeting was on the 9th November; I suggested they could be removed 9 days later. I wasn't suggesting you personally had to do it, unless you are the only person involved?

Not at all. There were several people putting up posters and I do believe that mine were the last to be removed. My mother in law died and we were away for a few days at the funeral. I was unable to attend the meeting because of this. I am not a hypocrite but sometimes, things have to wait.

I put posters up also to advertise the public meeting that was held on the 9th Nov. I will now endeavour take them down as soon as I am able. I actually left some up because I was still hoping more people would see them and become aware of the plans for the incinerator. At the time it was very apparent that people- on the whole had no idea of the plans. Therefore were being denied their own opinion. Now that a letter has gone out to everybody in Spondon actually informing them of this huge issue then putting posters up becomes rather less necessary. I apologise if you have been offfended by the posters.

Thank you also. In the spectrum of issues affecting Spondon, fly-posting may seem trivial but if place looks "uncared for" it encourages further lack of care such as graffiti.
