hi all - heres the latest - please tell everyone in Spondon - its been confirmed that when breathing in that vinegar smell, you are breathing in benzene which is used inthe acetate process in equal proportions- The Environment Agency have confirmed in an email that they want the public to contact them when the acetic acid/benzene mix is around- urgh - The 24 hr hotline number to ring the EA is 0800 80 70 60 If you want an A4 poster sending electronically of the attached, let us know - we are posting these through doors in spondon and the immediate area around celanese will soon be leafletted completely too - see the facebook sites for details of how to object to yet another polluting process, in an area overloaded with them...then there are the hundreds of tonnes of CO2 produced by the proposed incinerator and which are underestimated inthe Cyclomax application.............................. NB The parliamnetary Select Committee has issued a report on why there should be more recycling instead of incineration www.foe.co.uk/resource/press_releases/select_committee_report_waste_19012010.htmlAttachments:
