Can anyone tell me the best way to walk into Derby City Centre from Spondon?
The only way I can think is to go down Nottingham Road through Chad. Is there another way?

The other option is to get to the top of Raynesway, walk down there for a couple of hundred yards (on the opposite side to Asda) and then you can cut through onto the path that runs through the park alongside the A52. That'll lead you to the bridge which goes over the A52 to ToysRUs on Pride Park and you can then either go down the side of the cattle market or go through Pride Park alongside the river.
The other more scenic route (but probably slightly more mileage) is to join the riverside path earlier by walking further down Raynesway until you're about level with the Raynesway Recycling Centre (a.k.a 'the tip'!) and you can then join the river path form there.
